Reset the iPhone and iPod touch

1. Simply hold the home and sleep/wake button until the iPod restarts.

2. The Apple logo should appear and it might take up to 20 seconds to load.

3. The iPod/iPhone should now reboot and be fully functional again.

Reset and "Clickwheel" iPod (iPod classic, iPod nano, iPod mini etc)

1. Hold the Menu and the select button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

2. The iPod should now reboot, this may take  up to 20 seconds to load.

3. You may need to repeat these steps a couple of times for it to work.

Reset the iPod shuffle

1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod shuffle's headphone port.

2. Move the switch on the top of the iPod shuffle to the OFF position.

3. Wait 5 seconds.

4. Move the switch to the "play in order" or "shuffle" position. The green stripe will be visible in either position.

5. iPod shuffle is now reset. If after resetting iPod shuffle you are going to attach it to your computer, be sure to place the switch in the OFF position.
